It’s been awhile since we last posted a fresh BIG Thanks article, so I thought it would be nice to makeup for the ones I missed from end of January up until now. Since I have recently ‘slacklogged‘, many of you haven’t been given the proper thanks you deserve for adding our site to your blogroll, linking to us or an article we feature. So, it’s probably no secret to most of you who are regular readers here that I have been on a break for about the past two months. The beginning of the year is typically my busiest time (from January until taxes are done), hence I felt the need for a little break from blogging and posting here in order to a: spend more time with loved ones, b: spend more time catching up around the house, c: spend more time on my own eCommerce stores, d: spend more time catching up at my full-time job and e: spend more time on a few very important projects I have been working on.

Time again for yet another eCommerce Optimization BIG Thanks shout out to this weeks blog supporters. We do this regularly to personally reach out and thank (through links and text snippets) other bloggers, authors and sites that either mention us, mention our content, link to us or add us to their blogroll. I really like the wide variety of sites featured in our BIG Thanks articles, including foreign language blogs. It shows that our content reaches a lot of different audiences and that we cover a wide range of topics that hit home within many of the different communities surrounding eCommerce and marketing Online.

I am pleased to announce the release of a new featured guide here on eCommerce Optimization. The guide features a categorized listing of popular local search engines and business portals that can be used by merchants to list, display and syndicate their business information or corporate data into different local/business listing services including Google Local Business Center, Yahoo Local, Windows Live Local, SuperPages, Dex, MapQuest, Yelp and more.

Categories for the different business portals include local search engines, yellow pages, local meta crawlers, business data providers and even local social networks.

We have a few new sites, blogs or authors to mention in our BIG Thanks article this week.
