@ seo freelancer – I think they use “wiki” as a way to identify the site as user generated, user edited and community based shopping. It’s social, but wikis are typically associated with user generated content and the ability to edit pages, articles or whatever in a WYSIWYG type interface, or through wiki code.

Their buying guides and gift guides are examples of such content. Anyone can contribute, although most wikis are moderated by the community.

The fact that they joined together shopping search technology and wiki technology is one of the things that makes them stand out from the rest in my opinion.

@ seo freelancer – Anytime. Yes, they are one of the most innovative approaches to date in that space. Their timing in 2005 was perfect and they’ve gotten great funding to help build along the way. What impresses me most is their technology and ability to run everything with such a small staff of people. The design is clean and easy to use too.

I’m a huge fan of shopwiki, they’re definitely one of the biggest revolutionizers of the whole CSE world, and will be a huge player in the future– very informative interview.
