CNET Announces Pricegrabber.com Will Now Manage All CPC Listings

Just in from Comparison Engines, CNET announced that sometime between August 27 and September 1, 2007 they will finalize a partnership with PriceGrabber.com as the sole provider of all CPC based product listings across CNET, mysimon and ZDnet.
CNET has been managing their own merchant program for quite some time now as well as listing items from Shopping.com for inclusion into the CNET Shopping networks. Now CNET will begin using PriceGrabber.com to manage all of their CPC listing programs. They hope the transition will make it easier for merchants to include and manage their listings across more networks.
If you do sell on CNET and do not sell on PriceGrabber, you will need to register for a PriceGrabber account to keep using CNET. In addition, your merchant agreement with CNET will no longer be active and you will receive one final invoice for the month of August (including any past outstanding balances).
The pricing structure is still the same, CPC (cost per click). The report on Comparison Engines didn’t mention the differences in cost and I am not sure the actual fees that CNET used, but I am sure they are competitive and close to the same. Now you can look forward to more reach for your dollars spent and you have one less comparison shopping listing account to manage. I think this is a good move for CNET and PriceGrabber. Congrats to PriceGrabber, they have been making lots of moves and new strategic partnerships lately.
CNET Shopping and mySimon are featured on our Product Listing Guide so around September 1st we will be updating all their listings to reflect the affiliation between the three. You will have to list with PriceGrabber to reap the benefits the CNET Shopping networks.
