BIG Thanks: Recent eCommerce Optimization Supporters (08/13/07 to 08/17/07)
Wow, it seems like we just got going and already we are receiving awesome support and feedback from the eCommerce community. One of my goals for this blog has been to reach out and make others in the industry aware that we exist in an attempt to gather feedback so we can make this blog, it’s content and the tools as accurate, up-to-date and valuable as possible. The responses so far have been overwhelmingly good and I just need to take a few moments to thank some of our recent supporters (with link love, of course).
Blogs that added us to their blogroll:
First, to the folks over at Get Elastic…
Jason, Linda, Dave and Tom have created a wonderful resource packed full of useful articles, webinars, podcasts, video tutorials and much more. I enjoy nearly ever piece of content they touch and it always amazes me to see the caliber of guests they have on their podcasts, videos and webinars (like Stephan Spencer). Get Elastic has added us to their blogroll and I just wanted them to know that I really appreciate them for noticing lil’ ol me out here in the big ol blogosphere. Keep up the quality work guys, you do a wonderful job up in Vancouver.
Also I would like to mention Sitebrand’s blog, called Persuasive e-Marketing…
I have thousands of blogs saved to my bookmarks and within my feed readers. One that has been on my radar for awhile now that I always find my self going back to is Persuasive e-Marketing by Kelly Rusk. She does a wonderful job covering Online selling topics such as email marketing, eCommerce, RSS, viral media and more. I really like Kelly’s insights into email campaigns and newsletters. She also does a great job of comparing email marketing to RSS. Persuasive e-Marketing has added us to their blogroll and I wanted to personally thank Kelly for doing that, it’s great to see us listed there.
Blogs that mentioned us in a post or article:
Next, I wanted to thank Lim CS of Get Found…
Lim CS has put together a great resource for Malaysian sellers and really anyone else who wants to read unique insights about advertising, eCommerce, Online marketing, PPC, SEO, social media and more. I have sat down and read quite a few of the posts and have got to say that I am liking what I see so far. I have subscribed to the feed and will continue to check out their stuff. Lim CS found us on Sphinn and wrote a fantastic blurb about some of our articles and guides. I appreciate the writeup and mentioning us on your blog Lim CS, see you around the sphere.
Blogs that both mentioned and added us to their blogroll:
Another thank you goes out to David Thiel, CEO of Auragen Communications, authoring etailology.com…
eTailology is an eCommerce blog that focuses on strategic thinking and tactics for eTailers. Topics range from branding, guerrilla marketing, email marketing, trends, brick-to-click and much more. I have been aware of this bog for several months and he has really begun to bulk up the posts and the value offered in each of his articles. David has linked to us before in one of his roundups, but he has also added us to his blogroll on etailology (love that name). I wanted to let David know how much I appreciate the blogroll link and for including us in some of his weekly post roundups, nice job.
Last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank Kidson Talks…
Liz Kidson, an eCommerce consultant, has been posting about her eCommerce journey for nearly a year now. She first appeared on my radar a couple of months ago when I discovered her on Technorati. Liz covers topics related to auction management, eBay, PayPal, open source, CSE’s, social shopping and much more. Kidson Talks has recently written a very flattering post about our blog and also added us to their blogroll. Wow, I was so surprised to see us on there. Thanks so much for noticing our hard work Liz. I have read your blog, mentioned you on ours and will continue to. Keep up the great writing. Thanks again.
So there you have it. That wraps up the sites/blogs we have for our “BIG thanks” post. If you happen to mention eCommerce Optimization on your own blog or add us to your blogroll, we might just feature you in one of our BIG thanks articles.

And I was just about to remove you from the Blogroll – I guess I am obligated now eh?
Your content coverage speaks for itself, I recommend the site to most I meet.

@ Jason – Ahh man, I knew being on it was to good to be true! Guess I’ll just have to work harder to get back on if you decide to take us down. Lol. Glad you like what we’ve got going, it’s been a fun ride so far.
@ Kelly – You deserve it! Thanks, we will.

I am planning to start e-commerce Internet business.
I would love some specific ideas as to targeted email marketing, search engine optimization, link swapping, pop-up advertising, etc.
Please, any constructive suggestions and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

@ Linda – Oh Linda, Myspace is so 2006. Facebook is the lastest trend for 2007. It should be a Facebook application instead. Lol. Thanks for the support and kind words. I look forward to seeing more posts from you on Get Elastic.
